Nanny State and the NFL

Watched a football game today, and after a touch down the receiver of the touch down pass celebrated near the defender he just beat to catch the ball. The referee
threw a flag. Charged him with flagrant celebration.

OH my God! It was rude but they are both big boys.

The nanny state marches on.

Unemployment

Nationwide construction unemployment was 17% in August, up from 16.5% in the same month last year.

Doesn't seem the stimulus did much stimulating does it? Now if they had given all the bail out monies back to the individual tax payers, the economy would now be robust.

This government is evil.

God Will Provide

As I see the empty shops around the city, where businesses once thrived, I must focus my mind on the fact that ultimately, for the righteous, our God has promised His provision. The natural mind would rather focus on the blight in this city.

When we are truly submitted to God we can be assured that He will provide for us all we need for Godliness. This does not negate the poverty that is widespread in the city. It does however cause the righteous man to live in peace.

Our focus is not on the trial when we walk by God's faith. It is on the Lord.
