An open Letter to Jah, and the City of Marion

I have never prayed for a local Government as much as I have this one. To my knowledge no one before this group quit taking Emails from citizens. Sure the citizens get hot about issues. But to deny them their voice is evil.

This country is free. What I write on this blog I believe. If you don't agree, no one forces you to read it.

I have hope for change in Marion. In my opinion we need a mature mayor, and city council void of agenda's against any group, including the poor. Jesus, said the poor you will always have with you. But the word also gives great warnings against oppressing the poor, and the fatherless.

Poverty is awful. No one wants to be poor. Few want to be unemployed. Poor people have little voice in anything in Marion or almost anywhere else. It is for the poor, I pray today. I pray that the Lord would be their deliverer.

I've had much, and I've had lack in my life. My Lord says to learn to be content with what ever state I am in, for Godliness with contentment is great gain. Selah

Lord I know my anger at poverty is a Godly thing. Lord I also know that praise must be on my lips, no matter what path I am called to walk. I Praise YOU! Lord I also know if I don't cry out against injustice when I see it, the blood of the slain will be required at my hands. It is that truth that gives me courage to cry out against what I disagree with in this local arena!

I'd rather have your endorsement then the praise of a thousand I might receive in some form of compromise.
