"The local option income tax inched closer to becoming a reality Tuesday night, but it is still in flux.
The Gas City Council approved the tax 4-1, but the Marion City Council decided to put off a vote for two more weeks and schedule another public hearing, Dec. 30."
Above quote from the Seybold Chronicle
Just what we need in the midst of a economic depression. Another Tax.
This government has lost its collective mind. These taxes are the efforts of Anti-Christ government who is not willing to live within the means of a failing city, and therefore will burden the local taxpayer to the point of broke. I will hold the Marion City Council, the County Council, and the Gas City Council in derision for the poor leadership they offer, which will eventually cause a total collapse of the local economy, if this tax is passed.
